Copy of Memo. To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.7.4.34 LUBRICANTS FOR BENTLEY CAR Replying to Roy{Sir Henry Royce}2/MG5.4.34. It was I, and not Hancock, who altered the order of the list of Oils recommended. We did not realize that Prices had a heritage from us that they should always be given preferential treatment, when we obtain from them the minimum amount of assistance. As no Experimental Bentley cars have been run on Prices oils at all, it was only a matter of courtesy that they were included in the list, we certainly were not justified in giving them any preferential treatment when we have not even run a car on their oil. If Prices have preference as regards the R.R.cars we think they have been very generously treated. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
