Dear Sir,

We have your letter of the 10th instant, and much regret to note your feeling regarding the arrangements which were made in New York for accommodating Mr. Elliott and your goodself in the "Berengaria" April 15th.

It is true that there was considerable pressure on our Eastbound space round about that time on account of the Coronation, but we would be very concerned indeed should it transpire that full advantage had not been taken of any opportunity which may have presented itself for properly providing for the requirements of our clients, or that there had been any unjustifiable charge imposed.

You will, we have no doubt, kindly allow us a little time to investigate the circumstances with our New York Office before we specifically reply to the points you raise, and we will revert to the matter in due course.

Meanwhile, please be assured of our appreciation of the business emanating from Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, and of our desire at all times to provide entirely satisfactory service.

Yours faithfully,
CUNARD WHITE STAR LIMITED.
