BENTLEY GEARBOX BEARINGS.

Sometime ago you sent us a set of bearings off a customer's car for a complaint of noise. Unfortunately we have lost the memo and do not know the chassis number of this car. We submitted the bearings to Hoffmanns who took them to pieces and found that four were in perfect condition but that the 5th. had failed.

This bearing is the one in the middle of the 3rd. motion shaft and had failed because it had been too tight in the gearbox casing. If when new bearings are fitted to this gearbox the fit of this bearing is not eased, trouble may possibly occur again.
