ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.F.B. Order No. WA {Mr Wallis} 45 Customer's No. X4430 X.4430 Goshawk Condenser (NO. 03.) with improved earthing connection. This condenser when placed on the ignition distributor for testing, failed to function when the new earthing strip was screwed down. As the condenser appeared OK before placing it on the rig it was thought that the earthing stup when screwed down drew the condenser case to one side thereby causing an internal short-circuit. This was verified by levering the condenser case in the opposite direction to that of the force caused by the earth. Signed contid This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
