W/S. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3994 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG6.7.26. 20 HP. CHASSIS - NO.1644. X 5900 Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/BM2.7.26. The policy which has been laid down is that we should not send experimental cars with obviously new features to London coachbuilders. This policy was insisted upon by Sales. We think it would have increased your difficulties if we had sent a car to London with an entirely new type steering, pedals etc. It will be many months before the new steering will be delivered on production cars. We have already quite successfully made a body at the coachbuilders with the seating position so arranged that when the steering and pedals are altered, this will be correct. There appears to us very little difficulty in this because the seating position has to be made to definite dimensions and as long as these dimensions are adhered to, it will be correct.
