Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EM/12/L4613. Re Axle Pivots. - X.168 Ma for Mr Mills. 4-6-13. We wish to test a pair of pivots C.471/2 as fitted to series 700. We understand that the reinforced forgings numbered C.471A and C.472A are on order but have not yet been delivered. We wish particularly to test the weaker type. We understand that a pair are now in the shops partially completed, which have to be despatched to our Bombay depot for stock. We shall be glad if you will instruct for this pair to be handed over to us if possible and another pair reinforced type instructed for Bombay.
