REAR SPRING CLIPS.

We understand that tests over rough roads have demonstrated that the nuts of the clips holding the rear springs to the axle strike the frame. Though when set out the nut does not strike the frame, actually most of the sideways movement appears as though it took place on the spring on the maximum bump, this being the bent one, so that the nut may come actually under the frame. A little more clearance therefore seems desirable, and we send herewith N. scheme 3005, shewing how the pad could be modified to reduce the height of the nut.
