We thank you for your letter of the 31st.ult. We can believe that with a high geared axle, a chassis similar to the one we tried, could attain a speed of 70 m.p.h. As you will realise, high speed work is all a question of wind resistance. We did anticipate however that with a body such as the one we tried, the car would have been able to have exceeded 60 m.p.h. fairly comfortably.
