Attention: E.H. Doughty Esq.

Dear Sirs,

As arranged during our discussion of yesterday, we are writing to let you know that the bore of our steering gear housing for the cam bearings is 2.3125 and is machined to suit the bearings.

We find that we have progressed so far with the manufacture of pieces necessary for trying 0.590 bore bearings on the roller of the gear that it is not worth our while to change over to the 0.500 bore. We shall shortly be sending you an order for some 0.590 bore bearings.

Yours truly,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
