X110 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.16/KW. 15th July, 1936. The Borg & Beck Co.Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, We thank you for the thrust springs and the two special 10" driven plates, which are now to hand. The tests we have done up to date with "No.6" lined 10" clutches have been so successful that we are anxious to extend them to the 11" type. Will you please therefore supply us with two 11" driven discs faced with "No.6" material, using the inner rivets to clinch both facings. In conjunction with these we should like two cover assemblies fitted with cream (150 lbs.) springs. We should like you to treat these orders as urgent. We are arranging for an official order to be passed. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
