To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X5310 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/KW.5.3.34. Synchromesh 2nd Speed Gearbox. We think it essential to have a second gearbox of this type. The one fitted to the Vulture is very noisy and the synchromesh operates erratically. We could fit this box to 1-J-111. Will you please also put in hand a set of close ratio ground gears. We think we should also try 8º cones screw threaded in a similar manner to those shown on N.Sch.3994 for the 20/25.
