To hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CWB. PHANTOM RADIATOR. X.8250 X.7250 With reference to CWB18/GM24.1.27., we think that item 3. in the schedule is not quite correct, and does not agree with items 1. and 2. The addition of .5 to the top of the tank, and .875" to the shoulders calls for a reduction in the height of the middle of the tank of .375", not .250. We believe that EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} pointed this out when in London, and has corrected C's copy. We raise this point because it would spoil the present agreement between R.{Sir Henry Royce} and sales that the middle of the tank should be reduced .4. With reference to item 4. we doubt very much the advisability of this, and suggest that it should not be done for the present. With reference to the size of the filler, since we have now reduced the radiator to within .250 of the standard thickness we think it may be agreed that no alteration to the size of the filler is necessary.
