W. A.{Mr Adams} Rowbotham, Esq., Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Rowbotham, Owing to a fortuitous relation of dates there has been no Technical Review in THE MOTOR during the month of April. I can, however, remind you that three days before the month started (March 29) we showed some interesting layouts of V-Type engines, their valve gear and manifolding in particular, and that yesterday (May 3) we showed particulars of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers. We find that the technique of draughtsmanship in these blue and white perspective sketches presents some interesting problems, and I hope that as time goes on we shall steadily master these with correspondingly steadily rising standards. Turning to road tests, we have had the following:- April 5. Frazer-Nash-B.M.W. 2-litre. Supercharged Graham 3.6-litre. April 12. Armstrong Siddeley Fourteen. Humber Snipe Imperial 4-litre. April 19. Flying Standard Twelve. Hudson "112". April 26. Chrysler Royal. Hillman 7-seater limousine. | ||
