X. 3513 - SAMPLE BAKELITE INSULATIONS FOR EXPERIMENTAL PURPOSES.

For the purpose of carrying out experimentally some of the substitutions suggested in Mr. Olley's note Cy6/G24.3.21 with reference to ballast resistances, actuating box, main switch and push button switch, we should be glad if you would kindly obtain for us from the Continental Fibre Co. of New York, :-

1. Two pieces 1/16" thick, about 6" by 6" square of Bakelite Dilecto, Grade XX for terminal plates and washers.

2. Two sheets of Bakelite Dilecto, grade A of the same dimensions.

3. Two sheets 1/8" thick, of about 6" by 6", of Continental Bakelite for main switch mounting plate, etc.

As an alternative to (1) we would like you to obtain two sheets 1/16" thick about 6" by 6" of Bakelite Micarta with a paper base from Mr. B.P. Boyle, Assistant to European Manager, Westinghouse International Elec. Co. London.
