X.4383. GOSHAWK DYNAMO.

(1) You have recently removed dynamo B from 4-GII in order that we may bring this machine up to date, as regards brush position, etc.

This has been returned to you for the necessary slotting operation.

(2) Dynamo No.288 whose brush gear went to pieces on our over-night test has been handed to you for fitting up with a new set of brush holders. The damaged parts of this machine have been handed to EY. for his examination.

(3) EY. being so concerned about the failure of the brush gear of machine No.288 desires that we remove the brush gear from another machine which has done a lot of running, and replace with a newbrush gear al so on this other machine. The brush gear removed will also be sent to him for examination. The machine we have selected for this purpose is R.3 on 3GII.

Will you kindly have this work carried out as soon as convenient and the parts handed to us.

EFC.
