Dear Winter, Many thanks for your letter of the 6th December. Glad the bearing position is so satisfactory. I am interested to hear that you are going back to Babbitt-lined main bearings. I think this is the ideal material if its load can be so kept down that it does not fatigue. Should like to try a 'Super Snipe' some week-end.
