re. Chassis 46-G-1. X4228

With reference to your BJ7/H26.2.23 - I have discussed with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} the possibility of altering the present plunger fitting to cure the noisy brake lever trouble on the existing 100 cars, as this can be done much more cheaply than by the changeover of brake levers.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} now has this matter in hand and will report as soon as he is in a position to recommend action in regard to same.

If this is impossible, the alternative will be to change the levers, the particulars of cost of which we can then go into.

With regard to the whistling throttle trouble - Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} points out that this standardisation sheet has now been issued, along with one or two other points on carburetter alterations.

In making up this sheet, it will be necessary to consider the action which must be taken in dealing with this job retrospectively, as otherwise this alteration will only take place as soon as it can be conveniently brought into production.
