With reference to your KP5/H28.2.23, I am glad to hear that arrangements are being made at once to prevent, if possible, the plungers rattling on 20 h.p. brake levers, and for this alteration to be made on all chassis not yet delivered. I feel sure, from driving these cars, that every car we deliver will mean one dissatisfied and irritated customer otherwise. I shall be interested to hear what is being done. This alteration is especially necessary on cars which we are now issuing to agents and depots abroad for demonstrating.

What can be done about them if they have been delivered, please?

The same remarks apply to whistling carburetters.

Can you give me any idea in regard to both alterations what is likely to be the cost of the alteration:

(1) if done at the Works.
(2) if done at the coachbuilders.

Presumably both alterations could be made by one man at the same time on cars that have been delivered to coachbuilders or agents.

Could alterations be carried out on cars which have been delivered abroad?

Will new parts be necessary, or can something be done to the brakes and carburetters which have already been delivered? - such as adding a washer, or filing a piece away. If not, what new parts would have to be supplied?

Doubtless these matters are being given very urgent consideration, as the reputation of the 20 h.p. now hangs in the balance, and on each of the first one hundred cars to a great extent will depend their future reputation and sales. If we deliver cars with which rattle and whistle, our chances of sales will be very greatly reduced.
