LONDON, N.W.10.

Dear Sirs,

The second of the portable hydraulic jacks is now leaking copiously. We are arranging to send it back to you at Willesden. This is very worrying because the percentage of failures we have now had in a small number of jacks is very high. We should like to hear what you think is the trouble with this particular jack, and what steps you will take to make sure it does not happen again.

With regard to jack brackets. Both of these which we have so far tried which either hook on from underneath or from above, are not very secure when the car is jacked up, it being quite easy to push the car off the jack. We have designed a bracket which we think is foolproof and will be sending you a drawing of this shortly.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
