Phantom III starters failing to engage due to production settings not adhering to drawing specifications.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was at the Works to-day, and told me there were four more cases of P.III starters failing to engage.

We examined a number of cars on production, and noted that they are all being set on the minus limit, the drawing definitely specifies 30, thou., but this is not being adhered to.

We shall be glad to know from you that this engaging trouble is due to the same difficulties we had on P.II, and not to some unknown problem.

We should also like to know whether you consider it necessary to tackle all cars at present at the Coachbuilders, and cars in customers' hands, to check this setting.

This matter is important, and we shall be glad if you will let us have the information as soon as possible.
