With reference to your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swd14/AP.8.12.36
We have had the main journals of the crankshaft re-ground,
they were ground to .010" undersize, it was found that it
was not necessary to re-grind them to .015" u/s.

As explained in our Sr/VAI9/GM.10.12.36
we drilled an extra and opposite hole in each of the seven
main bearing journals, we did this before we received your
memo referred to above.

We have however, carefully noted the con-
tents of your memo.
