When a driver stops beyond his pit, he is forbidden to use reverse in order to go back subject to a fine of Frs 250 for the first infraction and Frs 500 for each subsequent infraction. Any car which has stopped beyond its pit must be pushed back by hand in front of said pit by one or by both drivers of the vehicle or by one of the drivers and the pit assistant.

It is strictly forbidden for any driver to run on the track in the direction contrary to that of the race the penalty for so doing being an application to the A.C.F. for disqualification.

CHANGING OF DRIVERS

Art. 42. - As provided in article 9, the two drivers of a car relieve one another as they choose, but only at their pit when the car has stopped there and the engine is stopped. The two drivers qualified may be on the road at the same time, but only in front of their pit and they alone may work on the car.

However, one or other of the drivers may get help in his work on the car from the pit attendant provided for in article 9, but there must never be more than two persons on the road, either the drivers, or a driver and the pit assistant, under the supervision of the deputy-Steward attached to them.

Any driver relieving or helping his follow-driver-whatever the operation may be must lap the circuit at least once, subject to the exception provided for in the final paragraph of article 9 (use of the driver as petrol attendant).

No person shall, under any circumstances, give any assistance however insignificant to the drivers and to their assistant at the pit, the penalty being the immediate stopping of the car and disqualification.

The first driver registered is under the obligation of wearing a red yellow when driving, the second driver must wear a blue armlet.

Said armlets will be supplied by the A.C.O. and handed to the parties concerned during the checking operations at the Halle aux Toiles.

REPLENISHMENT

Art. 43. - The services of the attendants on the occasion of each replenishment and the use of the authorised materials shall only be available once the car has arrived and stopped in front of its pit and its engine is stopped.

Said services will be limited to placing at the disposal of the two drivers, or of one driver and his assistant, on the shelf of the pit intended for the purpose and in the presence of a Steward as stated in article 42 : I. - the oil; 2. - the cooling liquid; 3. - the spare wheel fitted with a tyre or not as the case may be.

The following will also be placed at the disposal of the two drivers or of a driver and his assistant subject to the conditions provided hereinabove :

I. - Either a jack or a lifting apparatus for raising one or more wheels simultaneously; or two appliances for the purpose of raising one wheel only on either axle (wedging up under the lifting appliances will be permitted should circumstances make it necessary).
2. - A compressed air cylinder or a pump exclusively for the tyres.
3. - The pan or container intended to collect oil drained from the housings in case of need.
4. - A sponge or a damp cloth for the cleaning of the headlamp lenses, of the windscreen and of the car numbers.
