PHANTOM III.

Arrangement of Dashboard.

We send herewith LeC 4731 showing an arrangement of accessories on the engine side of the dashboard on Phantom III.

Everything remains as the present standard arrangement except for the new position of the Klaxon screen wiper motor and the addition of the wind tone horn relay unit and the tank for the Donald Sessions hydraulic jacks.

We have been forced to move the Klaxon screen wiper motor into this new position in order to find a home for the horn relay unit in such a position that should at any time this type of horn become obsolete it is possible to leave off the relay unit without a serious modification in the design of the wiring conduits.

The Klaxon screen wiper motor must be on the driver's side of the dash so that when wireless sets on the instrument board are fitted any modification to the wiper motor position will not be called for.

With respect to the tank for the fluid of the hydraulic jacks, this we think will be correct as designed, but at the moment we are awaiting further information from the makers of these jacks to tell us the quantity of fluid which must be catered for, and whether a filter in the tank is required. We suggest therefore, that you hold up detailing this tank until you hear from us again.
