- 2 - reason for it. As to the reason for the shock absorber control not working correctly, we are at a loss to understand this as the Writer understands that in our view it was functioning properly at the time the car was handed over to you. The attention of the Works has already been drawn to this fact and the fact that the dynamo was not charging, and we are awaiting their remarks on these points. You will probably have noticed however the stability and high speed at which the car can be driven even though the shock absorbers were probably in the semi-soft position. We were aware of the noise of the petrol pumps, and that has already been remedied. Similarly the screen wiper was condemned by the Writer immediately after the car's return, and that has also been put right. The oil indicator is already the subject of attention, and this was brought to the notice of the Works many months ago. We quite agree that it is not in a very good position while the spare wheel is carried on the offside. Very naturally we are sending a copy of your letter to Mr.Robotham at the Works, who will we know be very interested in hearing what you think of this car, and therefore any time you wish to discuss any points with him he will be familiar with what you have written us. Once again thanking you for your trouble in giving us your views. We are, dear Sir, Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. Sales Manager. p.t.o. | ||
