P.S.

Since dictating the foregoing we have heard from the Works that the dynamo was not charging owing to a fuse having blown. This they replaced and all was well.

As regards the riding control, apparently due to the old Bowden cable control type being on this car a lever at the bottom of the steering column had toggled over centre. This cannot happen with present production, because we have reverted to the use of levers throughout for these controls.
