Dear Mr. Robotham,

In reply to your letter dated the 17th inst., asking whether we are satisfied with our rev.counter and speedometer I am afraid I must say that we are not.

We also have suffered considerable trouble with noisy drives, and have received many complaints from customers.

It is a matter which we are continually taking up with Smiths, and I am sure they are doing everything they can to overcome the trouble, in fact I believe they have succeeded recently in effecting considerable improvement.

I am afraid I cannot enlighten you as to the respective merits of the instruments which you fit on the Bentley, and those fitted on our own cars.

Yours sincerely,

W. Lyons
