For the attention of Mr. Robotham.
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
Derby.
Dear Sirs,
Re your order No. 82317.
Perhaps you can assist us with regard to the matter of this order, which is marked as destined for chassis No. GFN-6. We have supplied a tank unit and dashboard gauge suitable for your drawing F.55743. As far as our information goes, this is similar to the gauge which we supplied for Mr. Royce's own car.
The only calibration figures which we have of this tank were those taken by our installation man at your works when fitting up the gauge. On this calibration and actual installation, the maximum which we could show on the gauge was 13 1/2 gallons.
We have repeated the calibrations and figures
