INSTRUMENT BOARDS. ------------------------------ With reference to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}1/KW.29.1.32. we had ourselves noticed that the Smith's panel was deeper than our Phantom ll panel, consequently making the "facia" board deeper and closer to the driver's knees, and this was one reason why we sent you the layout drawing in order that the point would be appreciated before we got too far. However, we have looked into the matter and find that the depth of the panel could be reduced by 3/8", and we are making arrangements accordingly. The circles shown on our drawing represent the aperatures in the mount, so that it is not possible to reduce the size of the patch by a considerable amount, as would be assumed when looking at this drawing. Two small lamps will be fitted inside the panel for illuminating the dials. We are also arranging for the dials to be inverted as discussed previously for the present standard layout. We enclose a further print of D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Sch. 526, which has been revised. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
