URGENT.

Phantom III Induction System, Four-port Head.

We send you herewith LeC.5461 showing improved coring to the induction pipe heater for use with the four-port head on the above chassis.

When the material of the central hot box was altered from cast iron to aluminium it was necessary to increase the diameter of the set screw bosses to take inserts, and in so doing the core over the boss marked X on the scheme became objectionably small. To overcome this the jacket has been removed entirely from the sides of the box and the connection between the jacket round the up-takes and the jacket round the mixing chambers has been increased to the full width of the box.

The opportunity has been taken to increase the cores at the bottom of the box by making a flat floor and the jacketing of the side of the down-takes has also been simplified.

Will you please make the necessary modifications to the existing detail drawing E.88370, and instruct the modified box experimentally as soon as possible.

E/PSN.
