To Mr. [REDACTED] from RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [REDACTED] x4644 354 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}2/BE15.5.34. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III TAPPETS The valve rocker mechanism instructed for the above is of the eccentric hydraulically operated type. We understand that better results are being obtained with the Halford type tappets, and that the latter will be required for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III engine. Will you therefore please clear the position, and if the Halford type tappets are to be used, instructions should be issued as quickly as possible, as we hope to complete the engine unit for test by the end of July.
