The new insulated plug terminal is worse for the trouble experienced of wire pulling out than the old one. The cutting down of the length of the screw lessens the hold on the solder. My report covers the trouble in that direction. The Dept so far not received the new terminal.
NEW TYPE IGNITION PLUG
Shortened by 1/8"
The three separate segments are all shapes in production and in some cases are so badly formed that they will not hold on to the plug. The centre is so large (in dotted lines) that the function of the segments to grip the centre electrode is out of the question. They are made in a very slip shod manner.
