Exptl. Dept. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW. 17th April, 1934. The Accountant, Detroit Athletic Club, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Sir, When I left Detroit on March 18th the only account left outstanding was for the 7 days prior to my departure, i.e. March 11th to March 18th. I have a receipt for 11 dollars 40 paid on March 19th towards this account and in addition I left 80 dollars with the cashier on account to cover the majority of my indebtedness. The object of this was to leave as little owing as possible in view of my departure for England. To-day I have received a card marked April 1st, indicating that I owe the Club 72.63 dollars. I presume that the fact that I have an 80 dollar credit has been overlooked. If this is not so, my account for the 7 days must have amounted to 80 dollars + 72.63 dollars + 11 dollars 40, which amounts to 164 dollars. This I can scarcely credit without having further details. Will you therefore please let me have some further information at your earliest convenience. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
