20 HP. WIRE WHEELS - CHASSIS 51 to 150 in 'O' SERIES.

In view of the importance which R.{Sir Henry Royce} placed upon using the smaller diameter wheels viz. 19" rims on the 20 HP. chassis, we have arranged with the Dunlop Co. that they will scrap the rims (all of which were not actually made for the series) at a total cost of £150. The wheels will then be built up with the existing hubs but with 19" rims, the width of the rim being the present standard of 4½". The Order Office should therefore confirm with the Dunlop Co. immediately that we will pay for the scrapping of the rims, and that the above series wheels should be built up as specified above. It should be noted that the position of the centre line of the rim relative to the hub is not to be altered, that is the track of the wheels is not to be increased.

We require two sets of wheels at the earliest possible moment in order to fit up a sample car which has to start out for test in about a fortnight. This matter is urgent.
