To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hss γ 3499 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ.18.9.30. THERMOSTAT RADIATOR SHUTTERS. Replying to Sgl/E12.9.30. You will see that we have sent a further report on this matter - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ.12.9.30. We have also received from R.{Sir Henry Royce} modifications with the object of reducing friction on the shutters. With further tests we have made we are satisfied that there is no need to go to the larger size thermostat. We shall have a radiator fitted up with all R's latest suggestions on the car next week. The only point open to question on this now is whether we shall fit a return spring or not. As the spring can be got in without any modification and can be done in a few minutes, it is not a very serious point. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
