London, 22nd Oct.- The French makers showing at Earl's Court are: SALMSON, who have a regular following on this side of the Channel; BUGATTI, who put up what is genuinely the world's fastest touring car; CITROEN, whose prices are extraordinarily moderate; DELAGE, with an enviable reputation in England, showing some nice coachwork that happily combines French elegance with English comfort; DELAHAYE, whose recent performances have greatly enhanced their reputation; HOTCHKISS, ever popular, with their new 4 cylinder model that is having the same success as it did in Paris; and, last but not least, RENAULT, who have a "Juvaquatre" attracting large crowds, and 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models that are highly appreciated for their quality and finish.

Except for a few changes on which we shall comment in due course, there is little alteration in English chassis. Personally I should be the last to blame the manufacturers, for we in France have suffered too long from trying to attract an indifferent public with novelties, the worth of which has not been sufficiently
