To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4226 E2/M2. 7. 24. X.591. X.4226 GOSHAWK 11. VALVE SPRING CHANGER TOOL. Referring to the tool which we received from Mr. Hives for changing Goshawk valve springs without removing the cylinder head from the engine, it is thought that as this tool is used so rarely, the leverportion of it for forcing down the valve spring washer could be dispensed with. This effects a considerable saving in complication and cost, etc, and we have made a drawing - Lec.1890 - which we send you herewith shewing the simplified tool. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
