To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Py
c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce}, Wr.

We understand that Capt. Forsyth will approach us to lend him a car for the last 2 weeks in June for his holiday and will ask us to decarbonise his Sunbeam car during that period.
We are very averse to lending Capt. Forsyth a Rolls-Royce car for various reasons and we understand that there is a Chrysler at the Works which would be suitable to lend to him. I have discussed this matter with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and he considers we should do what we can to help Capt. Forsyth and he is agreeable to the Chrysler being lent to him and for us to undertake to decarbonise the Sunbeam and to carry out any small repairs to make it in good running order.

In view of the fact that Capt. Forsyth is of very considerable assistance to us, and in view of his letter to the A.I.D. to-day regarding the cylinders of the 'F' engine, (of which you no doubt have a copy) will you please let us know whether you can spare the Chrysler for the time mentioned and whether there would be any difficulty in the way of carrying out the minor repairs referred to in the case of the Sunbeam?

Py.
