With reference to steering wobbles.

In the side elevation of the car the steering pivots must be vertical or leaning slightly backwards at the top not exceeding one in fifty under any circumstances of loading the rear of the car.

Of course any inclination greater than this should be corrected by a tapering packing under the springs. Will you please provide such packings for the cars on the roads, so that they can be easily fitted.

These instructions apply to the cars already constructed, and if these particulars are adhered to, there will be no more complaints about steering wobbles, because the out of balance of the wheels, though the primary cause, will not do much harm, unless the out of balance is very excessive.
