W. A.{Mr Adams} Rowbotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd
DERBY.

Dear Rowbotham,

I am sorry to say I had to sell my 3½ litre Bentley. Since it came back from Derby it was certainly better in acceleration, but on the level with two passengers, I could still not get more than 4,000 revs.

I am sending you under separate cover a valve spring from a new unregistered Bentley, which has run under 2,000 miles, Chassis No. B.86.CR.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} I thought you would like to see it and how it collapsed.

Yours sincerely,
Jack Barclay.

P.S. Which chassis would you like me to take for my own personal use 36 E.F or 58 E.F. ?
