PHANTOM III CROSS STEERING TUBES.

In reply to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PJH.7/AP.21.9.37., we consider it would be advantageous to standardise the adjustable length cross steering Tube NS.{Norman Scott}4967 and NS.{Norman Scott}4974 as the tool cost will be recovered after producing 20 chassis due to the reduction in factory cost. We assume that the actual tubes will be made from .3 carbon steel similar to one of those which ran satisfactorily for 15,000 miles on 32 Ex.
