Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/AP.21.9.37 Ph.III. Cross Steering Tubes. Adjustable cross steering tubes to N.Sch.4967 and 4974 have now completed 17,100 miles on 32-EX. satisfactorily and can be standardised if required. Will you please let us know whether, in view of the present rate of Ph.III. production, you still consider the saving in assembly costs would outweigh the increased machining cost.
