Duplex and triple valve spring designs, proposing a double spigot to prevent the springs from rubbing together.

and a duplex spring. In the case of the triple spring design we propose to use a double spigot with the object of preventing the valve springs rubbing together.

Since there are 48 valves on each engine and 2 engines running, we ought to get a variety of these tested to prove which is the most reliable. As far as we are concerned we cannot see that there is any reason for these items giving trouble had we taken full advantage of the experience we have had.
