VALVE TIMING.
----------

Referring to R3/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 28.8.26. we note your remarks in regard to trying out the cam form shown on Scheme 796 for the exhaust, and Scheme 797 for the inlet, with a space of 108° between the cams. The facts of the case are, as we explained in a previous memo, we are using the cams in question with the angle between, 110° instead of 108°. This was done in order to get an early trial of the engine, as the formers for the two forms in question were in existence.

we are getting out new cam forms to give the dimension mentioned in E2/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 21.7.26. in which connection we will arrange to set the cams to 108° between the centre lines.

In regard to the valve springs, we have issued triple valve springs to LeC.2281 and are making special efforts to get the wire necessary to make the springs, and anticipate having the springs in question running very shortly.
