Huckerby}27.6.35 re CHASSIS - RATTLING GEAR LEVERS ------------------------------- With reference to our complaints on the above, we have now received a report from JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} at LH{Mr Haworth} (who handles the complete final testing of cars), as follows :- "We appear to be getting nearly every car which suffers from a rattle in the gear lever; I understand that quite a number of complaints are made. Have you any suggestions to make as to how they can be overcome?" If there is any possible thing that could be done to improve our present product we should be glad if you would instruct the Works accordingly, sending us a copy so that we can follow this up, not only on new chassis being delivered but, if possible, on complete cars before leaving the coachbuilders, as we are quite in sympathy that this is a disagreeable feature and we feel sure, as previously pointed out, that customers will not put up with it. We must therefore be prepared to apply some cure retrospectively. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
