Modification to S.S. pistons, lengthening the skirt by .375 inches to resolve issues with piston slap.

Smith} which is at present on production is meeting trouble from piston slaps. In order to overcome this we are lengthening the piston .375" on the skirt. Will the D.O. kindly arrange to get instructions for the new piston into the Works as quickly as possible. Mr. Gallimore should alter his dies, and then Sft.{Mr Swift} will be able to keep down the production of the present type piston to a minimum.
