In reply to your memo. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/Cy.4/IC.7.2.40. re cutting of the internal teeth your suggestion of serrations would suit us. These slots are merely for oil release and could be produced in a form most suitable for manufacture with a generous tolerance.
