Switchbox Section 8160.
'D' Scheme 315.

X7720.

Will you please put in hand one Switchbox having an extended armature contact to our L.O.P. D71895, to be suitably modified with the following parts to provide an additional field terminal for the dynamo in order to accommodate the half charge scheme.

The majority of the parts mentioned on the foregoing L.O.P. are standard production and we would refer you to our memo BY/RD3/DM{D. Munro}22-11-29, in which we instructed a switchbox for 18-EX.

The new parts required, Blue Prints of which are attached herewith, are :-

D72617 Packing for switch body - one off.
D72618 Terminal, dynamo field - one off.
D72619 Contact Plate, dynamo field. - one off.
D72620 Contact Plate, left hand - one off.
D72621 Switch Body - one off.

The first three of the above are new parts, but D72620 can be made by shortening D70535, and D72621 Body is a moulding specially made in the production dies.

The following standard parts, one off extra each, will also be required :-

D50382 Cheese-headed Screws.
D1342 Spring Washer.
D7876 Cable Eye.
D50065 Spring Washer
K1701A Cheese-headed Screws.
E17868 Cable Sleeve
F7373 Washer.

We have had to make temporary fixings for the parts which would normally be moulded in on the switch base and we think that the drilling and tapping will be alright if carefully done.

We attach herewith also a Blue Print of 'D' Scheme 315, for yourbreference.

We will embody all the foregoing on a part list in the course of a day or so.
