Two proposals for conveying oil to the front axles for centralised chassis lubrication.

We send herewith N. sch. 3008. shewing the pipe coil for carrying the oil on to the front axle arranged inside the shackle pin as in the case of the rear axle. The pins for the front axle being much smaller there is more difficulty in getting the coil inside, it appears that we can do it as shewn provided we can get the .128 pipe. In case we either cannot get the pipe, or it is too small to carry the quantity of oil required for the front axle, we have made a further suggestion - N. sch. 3010. herewith - shewing a coil using .156 pipe external to the shackle pin. This has the additional advantage that it does not alter the spring bushes or the diameter of the shackle pin at all. Also the existing anchorage bracket can be used.
