"gone, we do not find the operation to be, asit was supposed to be, according to our specification, or it may be that they have misread our specification. We, however, would prefer to leave over giving exact results of tests of these six cut-outs until we have been able to properly complete this.

"Work on these was cut short a week ago owing to removal of our laboratory and we have not yet been in a position to proceed with this.

"Later on we will give a report of tests of all these six cut-outs, stating more fully in what ways they do not satisfy our requirements.

"It might be pointed out to Messrs. Bleriot that the original cut-out (sample) received was more nearly to our specification than any of those since received.

"The cut-out now asked for is wanted urgently for Mr. Royce's car 6-EX."

We shall be much obliged if you will take the foregoing remarks into consideration and send to us as soon as possible another cut-out which, if possible, should be identical with the original sample you sent to us. It is immaterial whether this cut-out has a black case or a plated case.

We would also remind you that we have not yet received the promised particulars regarding your dynamo.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
