DYNAMO CUT-OUT WITH DOUBLE CONTACTS
TO R.R.SCH.845 & SPRINGS D.54809.
Origin.
To reduce volt-drop and overheating of cut-out.
Report of Experimental Test.
With ventilated dynamos heavy currents can be taken without distress but it is necessary to fit double contacts on the cut-out to deal with the extra load.
Three cut-outs modified have run :-
14,000 miles on Ph.III chassis 32-EX.
13,000 " " " " 36-EX.
